DSG – on the way home

Justin is on the way home. By the sounds of his last call, we will have an interesting report coming shortly.  At the moment, he is in Western PA and a little more than a bit behind schedule.

In the meantime – results are posted all over for the race:

Official: Dirt Sweat and Gears

or

Solo Goat - good job [...]

DSG – ½ way update

Josh Tostado has been maintaining the solo lead with Nat Ross not too far behind. Rob Lichtenwaller is trailing in third followed by Tinker and Ernesto. 7 Laps down for these guys so they are on pace to potentially get 13 laps on the books.

I just had a chance to sneak out for a [...]

DSG Race Day – morning report

Woke up at 5:30 am with a headache because of the 1 hour time differenc,e so I tried to nod back off as long as possible. Music and announcements began promptly at 6:30am, so not much success in getting back to sleep – oh well. The riders were lined up and ready to charge down [...]

DSG Day 1 – day and night before the race

Rolled in about 10 am and setup shop. Plenty of people wandering by to check out the Basecamp and talk lighting. Everyone loves the PT setup complete with couch, coffee table, and camper. After getting things situated, I cruised through a lap with Karl and Carol from Dirt Rag. The course is an awesome mix [...]

Rough Road to TN

I started the morning with aspirations of visiting a few shops and getting a ride in, but a late start and intermittent downpours put a damper on my plans. Instead, I was content staying dry and spending my entire 14 hour day in the cab of the truck. Also, having to drain my biker bladder [...]

Tennessee, here we come

Justin and Ryan packed up the truck and trailer last night so that Justin could hit the highway early this morning for his 14 (or so) hour drive to Dirt Sweat and Gears.

We will be hearing from him along the way today and will get reports up from the road and at the race as soon [...]

Bikes, Beer and Boats – just what I needed

Just before 5 o’ clock on Friday I hear that Adam and David are headed out to Moab to pre-ride some of the Kokopelli trail before the race. Immediate jealousy sets in (!) knowing how awesome the riding is and settling with the fact that I am a few thousand miles away. . [...]

Back in Bordentown – thinking of Sea Otter

Overall, Sea Otter turned out to be another good year despite the always predictable rain shower that washed away most of Saturday. I had a chance to chat with several new owners of Switchbacks who all seemed to be very pleased. Most of the other new goodies out there seemed to be centered around the [...]

Hitting the road. That’s what this is all about.

Life at PT sure is interesting, but it’s what happens when we saddle up and head out of Bordentown that fuels our passion and provides inspiration. Our travels present the opportunity to explore new places, see old friends, meet strangers that grow into old friends, and share our enthusiasm for the outdoors. www.livingonthedash.com is our outlet to share these experiences.

Sit back, enjoy and spread the love.
