The Gear Junkie awards PTec Swerve Top 10 Gear of the Year

Gear reviewers have the life. Seriously. How many other paying jobs could you get away with telling your spouse that you have to spend the week in Moab or Fiji or Australia or 24-hour racing or climbing or running week after week after week so that you can provide your objective opinion on the [...]

Scarecrows ride bikes too

It’s not all about lights, but it is mostly about lights

We had some of our reps to world headquarters this week.  Things will never be the same.

The Big Boss man sent over some pictures from the wind down after some time hammering out the “ligthing authority” tactics and trying to solve the worlds problems on the white board:

Dude scores a nice NJ Blue fish…

Ride my bike to work – sure, why not

For those of you who don’t know, Justin rides his bike to work every morning.  Naturally, trying to mimic the iconic “green” purveyor that is the Free Riding Justin, I decided it would be a good idea to ride my bike into work instead of drive the 30 miles to the PT homeland.  As 5 [...]

For Those Who Rocked Lat(e) Night – we salute you

Yes, I went to the ACDC concert last night.Yes, I was the guy dressed as Angus Young.
Yes, I played a lot of air guitar.
Yes, it was awesome.
Yes, it sucked waking up 4 hours later to get on the bike and ride in.
And…. in unrelated, but equally important news –
Yes, we are shipping TWICE AS [...]

I like Princeton Tec because…

ScubaBoard, like so many forums, is the spot where scuba divers can go and praise, comment, question, and discuss what’s on collective scuba minds.  ScubaBoard is one of the largest forums where people can discuss anything from latest dive techniques, to great diving destinations, to which dive light is the best on the market today [...]

Rear Blinkie Lights

Our peeps over at Urban Velo get lights.  The know that they are important and they know people should use them. Damn skippy. In their current issue #10, they offer a reminder that all cyclists should have have some lights and even offer some useful tips.

Check it out, and while your at it, do yourself [...]

Swerve On Bicycling.com

The new Swerve tail light is super bright. We all know this and so does Bicycling.com. Bicycling’s gear guru Ron Koch recently put one on his bike, crusied around the California streets at night and wrote a great, honest review.

CHECK OUT RON’S STORY HERE. Then go ride with your Swerveeeee!

Justin Lichter – somewhere, doing something cool, with a headlamp

Nice Trauma

LEDs, Heatsinks, Headlamps, lightbulbs? – we have been here for years.

The NYTimes blogged about light bulbs with heatsinks. The writer says that they look weird. I dunna know, they look pretty cool to me.

Here is a snippet from the post:

“Those funny fins are a “heat sink.” Because LED light sources generate all their heat through the rear, manufacturers are adding heat sinks to dramatically increase [...]

Hitting the road. That’s what this is all about.

Life at PT sure is interesting, but it’s what happens when we saddle up and head out of Bordentown that fuels our passion and provides inspiration. Our travels present the opportunity to explore new places, see old friends, meet strangers that grow into old friends, and share our enthusiasm for the outdoors. www.livingonthedash.com is our outlet to share these experiences.

Sit back, enjoy and spread the love.
