Gobble Gobble

As we get ready for Thanksgiving weekend, we’re getting a little bit reflective. From everybody here at Princeton Tec, we would like to thank our customers for supporting us during our nearly 40 years in the business.
Something to think about: each PTEC light is built by our team of about two hundred employees, either literally [...]

Fire Department Near a Ghost Town

In September 2011, semi-retired paramedic Michael Carter moved to Antelope, Oregon. This city with a population of just 46 at last census as well as quite the interesting history. Carter set about acquiring firefighting equipment, recruiting volunteers with the aim of restoring the fire department to active status. He began to achieve that goal in [...]

Sky Was Rumbling

As you likely have heard by now, several late-season tornadoes cut through the Midwest on Monday. Storms like this are rare for this time of year.
Illinois saw the worst of the storm, with a tornado rated by the National Weather Service as EF-4. What’s that even mean? Imagine winds between 166 and 200 mph. Reports [...]

Philippines Aid Distribution

We want to take a moment to thank the fine folks over at Emergency Essentials for collecting donations to bring over to the Philippines as part of the effort to clean up after Typhoon Haiyan. As you would expect, Princeton Tec is doing our part and including a bunch of headlamps in that shipment. Check [...]

2013 Readers’ Choice Awards

Ah, hiking. It can be as serious as a walk, or way more serious. Your call.
In an About.com round up of gear, we take first place in the headlamp category (hint – it’s PTEC Remix).
Check it for suggestions on the best places to hike, best pack (suggestions for daypack and backpacking bag), water purification, shelter, etc.

Class Trip to Philly

We’ll begin with a view from this morning’s commute. Our first snow of the season! It was not sticking, so naturally people freaked out. Whatever you do, make sure to avoid crashing your car/bike/motorcycle/big wheel/scooter/ice boat/dog sled or whatever you use to get around.

We spent last weekend in Philadelphia for the Philly Bike Expo.

The Ginger Ninjas Ride Again

Gracias, PTec, for your ongoing support of our two wheeled adventures in sound. This from the first ever bicycle music festival in Mexico — Festival Rodante — that we just helped produce. You can bet your burrito that our tail lights were flashing riding back to the casa post-show, 3am, Mexico City. http://gingerninjas.com

Offsite Meeting: Frost Edition

Sometimes there are things you just cannot do in the lab. So we set out on a quick trip to South Jersey for a cold night of product testing, to see how the ideas we’ve been working on are coming along. Twas a successful trip. We have some cool new gear coming up for the [...]

Hitting the road. That’s what this is all about.

Life at PT sure is interesting, but it’s what happens when we saddle up and head out of Bordentown that fuels our passion and provides inspiration. Our travels present the opportunity to explore new places, see old friends, meet strangers that grow into old friends, and share our enthusiasm for the outdoors. www.livingonthedash.com is our outlet to share these experiences.

Sit back, enjoy and spread the love.
