At Outdoor Retailer last week, we had the privilege of meeting Lei Wang, who is one summit away from accomplishing her dream of becoming the first Chinese woman, the first Asian-American woman and the 10th person to summit the Seven Summits and ski the Two Poles.
With the world’s tallest mountain standing in between Lei and her dream, she plans to begin her ascent of Mount Everest this coming March in hopes of accomplishing her goal.
As it turns out, climbing the Seven Summits isn’t only physically challenging, but financially challenging as well. The Outpost blog reports the full Seven Summits tour is estimated to cost about $119,720 – $183,870.
So after hearing her story, we partnered with Lei and outfitted her with an Apex Pro and Quad as a lightweight option to help her reach the roof of the world.
We wish her the best of luck and will post updates of her progress.
